The thing is healthcare is getting worse, not better in Canada and I don't see that changing. They're cutting costs everywhere they can and unless people are willing to pony up (i.e. higher taxes) to make services better, it's going to be tough just to maintain the status quo.
And I would imagine politicians are not motivated to fix it because they are being lobbied by the big companies that have ruined American health care that are looking to expand their market.

They did the same thing in England and convinced a lot of old people that leaving the EU was a good idea simply by buying ads on buses.

Typical story with this and challenges for women.

My Health Insurance will approve a vasectomy with no issue for me.
But my wife had to get a hysterectomy for health reasons and her Dr had to fight to get it approved as they considered this elective surgery. :L

Just recently, a wife's close friend needed to end a pregnancy due to the issues found with the Genetic testing. The OBGYN office she went to all the Dr's refused to do this surgery even though they all recommended her to have this Genetic testing done since she was older than 35. So she had to find a Dr that would do the surgery and due to timing is past the approved time to have the procedure done. :L
See in canada the hysterectomy is covered by the govt/universal health but the vasectomy isnt … and isnt by many extended health insurance plans either btw

/dr pollock charged me $900 for mine :thumb:

//and i dont even think his real name is dr pollock. Hes just goes by that name because it seems like he uses fishing line for the sutures :gaah:… and with the excessive force he uses in pulling the line through and tieing it off, it seems like hes wrestling in a big catch !

LOL...Funny you mention price the wife's hysterectomy if not covered was going to be around $25,000.
That was just for the Dr and his service, that price did not include the Hospital services and use of the surgery rooms within the hospital. So who knows how much or how long we would be paying for that if the Dr didn't fight to get it covered.

When the extreme ends meet

/i came across a ppc rally in downtown Kelowna sunday and was disappointed to see a couple hundred people there. Seemed like a large crowd. Then i came to realize bernier was actually there so i ended up laughing about the whole deal heh

/props to the kids who came in tight to shore on the lake in their ski nautique boat with the booming system and a mic (lmao) and started chanting “ppc kkk” over and over again

The answer from conservative dipshits is always the same. It needs a certain level of privatization. That level is never well-defined and, in Alberta at least, comes with government corruption.

Trudeau and Blanchet going at each other as if they were Pierre and Rene Levesque.

Someone should light a cigarette though to make it legit.
