Canada you are trying too hard to become the United States.
I agree, and this kind of old growth logging legit makes me sad, but there’s a big problem as I understand it at Fairy Creek and surrounding areas that wrenches everything: it’s native land, and the local native band are the ones issuing the logging permits. If we’re going to go on about native land rights and sovereignty there really isn’t shit the government can do other than provide the security for them to conduct business as agreed.

Hope to fuck it was evacuated, as the story suggests.Good god.

Didn't think that was supposed to happen to concrete buildings.
Or newer buildings, for that matter (sprinkler requirements)

The deep state knows no bounds.
Retrofits take a lot of time and money. They’ve basically changed insulation regulations globally since to avoid using the same material though on new buildings.Last report I saw said a few treated for Smoke inhalation, but no deaths or other injuries. A a miracle.
They are saying it's the exact same problem as the Grenfell tower in the UK a few years ago where 70 people died. How there are allowed to be any buildings anywhere in the world with that flammable cladding, I do not understand.
from this line in the article, i assumed it was a new build.Retrofits take a lot of time and money. They’ve basically changed insulation regulations globally since to avoid using the same material though on new buildings.

With all the destruction and it wasn't good, you always have the weather channel.
Reminds me of this classic:With all the destruction and it wasn't good, you always have the weather channel.
