I knew a guy who had a storefront here in Vancouver called Pirate Joe's
He would go across the border and load up stuff from Trader's. Mark it up a bit and save people the trip.

Trader's went after him with the full force of their lawyers for years until he finally had enough and shut it down
There was no other option to buy the products in Canada, he had offered to buy a franchise (was declined), and paid full retail price when he loaded up.
declared it all at the border and paid applicable duties.
they still banned him and sued him.

He resorted to wearing disguises, and hiring mules to legally purchase legal products, they were freaking adamant.
He was literally their best customer.

honestly, I never shopped there. Me and the Mrs didn't mind doing the road trip every now and then.
seemed to be reasonable enough mark-up that customers kept coming back.

I drive past that place every week on the way to hockey.

My buddy makes CBD drinks, went in to see if they wanted to stock any,
said they were so fucking baked they couldn't comprehend when he was talking about, let alone read a contract.

i failed in finding a logo of this on google but found this in a “souvenirs to get when visiting vancouver” write up

-- A bag of coffee from "Fungbucks" on East Hastings Street in Burnaby. The best souvenir from here is the business card of owner/operator Johnny Fung, which had on the back the names and numbers of his attorneys. Expecting a call from another coffee company?
