That is one of the cornerstones the country was founded on, and anyone who doesn't think it's important is a traitor. End of.

Also, if the courts are too backed up to give everyone a trial, maybe stop grabbing every brown person off the street and charging them with being in a gang? You know, kind of focus on stuff that's illegal and easy to prove like Emoluments Clause violations, Direct acts to avoid the freedom of information and presidential records acts, kidnapping - stuff like that. Keep the courts processing real stuff, not smiley face tattoos.

The Actual Quote:
Gore, for his part, cited German philosophers’ “moral autopsy on the Third Reich” in the aftermath of World War II.
“It was [Jürgen] Habermas’ mentor, Theodore Adorno, who wrote that the first step in that nation’s descent into hell was, and I quote, ‘the conversion of all questions of truth into questions of power,”’ Gore said. “He described how the Nazis, and I quote again, ‘attacked the very heart of the distinction between true and false.’ End quote. The Trump administration is insisting on trying to create their own preferred version of reality.”
Not exactly like Gore was just stating an opinion, he was quoting someone who lived through it the first time.

I guess that explains why Trump hates Mexico so much. They didn;t launder money through his casino. Might have been able to stay open.

Today's Citizenship Challenge! Can you identify the sentence that isn't party of the actual amendment?

Sixth Amendment
In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence. Unless like, it's inconvenient because there's just really a lot of them and it takes awhile - can I get a sparkling water?
