Doesn't mean we need to shut them out entirely, does it? At the end of the day, all of the human rights violations that China commits doesn't stop them from hosting Olympic Games and other world class sporting events, they are going to continue to do whatever they hell they want to do. I don't like it, but sanctions don't appear to have much of an impact either.

There’s a large untapped market of goalies in mainland China. I would think being on good terms with them would be in Canada’s best interest judging by the current state of affairs.

Yeah, that's a good point BBB and in my opinion some terrible decision making by Justin (that column has plenty of entries). Obviously Trump is not trolling here, he wouldn't keep on about this if he wasn't serious about annexing Canada. All options should be on the table to find reliable trading partners that are willing to adhere to trade agreements.

I know it’s not Justin’s fault really that Quebec basically will nuke itself before allowing a pipeline but that’s kind of the whole idea of Team Canada falling apart - after the patriotic uproar, we actually have to talk and it turns out we’re more of a JT/EP40 country than a solid unit.

And someone probably told Trump that too at some point.

It would be nice to actually use this to better our entire lot, do a correction and be able to stand up on our own a little. It might be too late but it would be nice.
