I'm generally more anti-cop than most, basically not a fan of state-sanctioned violence against citizens being the apparent primary means of ensuring fairness, safety, and order (how is it more safe for employees of the state to be authorized to beat and taze and shoot people?), but LAPD and NYPD seem to be a cut above the rest when it comes to brutality.
