Exactly, anyone that thinks this will magically make car production in the US go up and lower the price of domestically produced vehicles. Guess what I have a bridge to sell you.Many of these are manufactured with parts actually built overseas and sent here to be assembled. So does the tarriff not apply unless all components are made here? Does it apply if "finally assembly" takes place in the States? And would "Final Assembly" mean dealer prep, like sticking logos on the car and taking the scratch protection off?
I dare say this wasn't well thought out and very complicated due to a global economy.
