IMO this is Trump's way of being able to make a deal with Carney fairly quickly and still save face. He'll dump the blame on Trudeau for being "very nasty and difficult" and compromise with Carney.

I'm just speculating here but I'd bet that a few (or more than a few) CEOs of large corporations have put a bug in Shitler's ear about his trade wars costing them money and "if they lose money, HE'LL lose money". I'd be surprised if he hasn't been at least given some mild marching orders to knock it off.

It's pretty funny seeing all the right wing nutjobs in Canada suddenly pivoting and saying Trump's "endorsement" of Carney is proof that PP is the man to lead Canada. lots of really fucked things in this story... I think there is more to it for her Visa but I believe it all... the part that really concerns me is how quickly the guard/Nurse tried to get her to believe in God and to Pray feels like indoctrination. He wilts when the questions get a little tough. Comes with the territory of not being a career pol but it’s hard to hide.

Flip side, they’re already asking him like 10x harder questions than they ever asked Trudeau or anybody in his cabinet ever.

Yeah, I'm worried that it will be even more exposed when they have the leadership debates. PP definitely has a big advantage when it comes to smooth talking.

Guess we find out this year if anyone still cares about debates - one thing PP does do well is debate (he and Charest ripped each others arms out during the Con leadership race) and Carney is going to get absolutely throttled no matter what in the French one.

with todays politics I am confident that polls and debates mean very little. People will just vote with the party that they relate to most in their terms of belief. I am not even sure if anyone will vote for what's best for a country anymore just don't let that "man/WOMAN" in.
