First, I have an alibi. Mrs 43 is on Spring break so we finally went up to Mansfield and took the Shawshank Tour. I stood on the spot where Andy gives the get busy livin or get busy dyin line, where Red didn't "give a shit" to the parole board and where the last thing that went through the Warden's head, other than that bullet, was the thought of how Andy Dufresne go the best of him.

The tube where that was shot was 15 feet long. and built up on a platform. It was shot through a funnel like thing to make it look longer. It was filled with water and chocolate syrup.

Likewise, the "tunnel" from Andy's cell was like five feet long, also built on a platform.
