Unfortunately, I agree with this
To be honest as much as I hate to say it. i think Stanford should be ranked in the 4 slot. And drop Florida State and OSU down a slot.Nebraska may surprise some people they do have a solid team. I was happy to see them beat UCLA last year

Bama too high, Notre Dame too low, Baylor shouldn't be on there at all WVU and Texas should be, around 24/25 or so IMHO.

There is a chance in 4 WR sets that Texas ends up starting 4 true freshmen on offense for the game. The opening play will feature a true freshman center snapping to a true freshmen QB vs ND. I dont think people quite understand how young Texas is still. 65 of 85 man roster are Freshmen or Sophs. It would not be so bad, if there was a strong core of senior starters to guide them . That is not the case, as only 3 seniors expected to start. I believe it will be a better season and feature a nice close, but 2016 is not going to be the year that Texas gets back on the national scene. 2017 should be the year Texas is back.

They're ranked highly because Urban Meyer has proven time and time again to be an elite coach and recruiter that is really only equaled by Nick Saban. OSU is full of elite players, and the coaches know that. These "new starters" would be "returning starters" on probably 95% of the teams in the nation. Urban has earned the benefit of the doubt by repeatedly proving his worth. You seem to be the only one who can't see that for some reason.

As a Michigan fan, I concur. It's like Alabama, they just reload. I think Alabama could cut their current starters, start their second stringers all year, and still likely be a top 10 team by seasons end. They have that much talent on bench. Unfortunately, Ohio State pretty much has the same thing.

I still think OSU loses to Oklahoma though. Too many fresh faces early in the season for the Bucks. The bad part for Michigan is that OSU is likely to be quite a bit better by the time November rolls around. Fortunately for my boys, so should Michigan.

I don't disagree, I'm not suggesting OSU will be bad. But the difference between top 5 and top 15 is a fine line that must be walked. If you lose two games,it's unlikely you're going to finish in the top 5.

I know OSU reloaded but they did also lose a lot of key players. IMO that should be factored in. Until we actually see how OSU responds.I think they are ranked aa bit too high right now

I would agree that OSU is probably overrated for how many new starters they will have this year, but if they were to get by Oklahoma in week 3, I don't see anything on their schedule that would pose much of a threat until Michigan in November.

I dont think you are completely off. I would bet OSU is top 10, but top 5 would mean everything came together. They lost a bunch of players. The media and fans are filling up on preseason Kool-Aid right now (like all fan bases. "This guy is more talented than the starter that went in 2nd round"), but we wont know if all the new starters can maintain their predecessors success until the fall.

I'm telling you, watch out for Baylor. They still have a loaded offense and still have this last year of relevancy. They will be playing with a chip on their shoulder and will go all out before they move back in with KU in the basement. Their schedule alone sets them up to be 6-0 by the time they play Texas and if Bedford hasn't figured out how to coach a defense by then, the Bears could be 7-0 by the time they visit Gary Patterson.

Tennessee. That's pretty funny. Got a first place vote in there too.

I'm okay with Bama at #1. Who else you gonna put up there? Clemson maybe? I say just keep starting them at #1 regardless until someone can knock them off their perch. They are dominating college football. They've proven it time and again. I mean go all the way back to 2010 and look at that year. That was a disasterous season for them and they went 10-3 and damn near beat the eventual national champion.

I was thrilled to see Wilcox go. Last years SC defense may have been one of the worst I've ever seen SC field. Sloppy tackling, receivers roaming free, not stacking the box on obvious running downs. The play calling was terrible and the defense didn't look prepped. I'm hoping to see Pendergast improve the fundamentals SC lacked with Wilcox and upgrade the play calling. They have the talent. I do think they are ranked a bit too high right now tho.

USC is going to take their lumps. They should not be ranked in my opinion. What an absolutely BRUTAL schedule. And what the hell where they thinking hiring Helton? So stupid. You are USC for gosh sakes. I think that will not pan out well for them at all. Time will tell.

I wasn't pro Helton and wanted them to go after another coach. But I also see the point that the players respond to him. So I have to give him a chance. I also think the best move SC made was hiring Swann. He's a proven winner with an amazing resume. That move hasn't garnered as much attention as other topics. But Swann will play a key role in USC's future and returning to an elite program.I do think they are ranked too high. But they do have the talent to justify being ranked.

Those are the worst words a coach can hear. There is nothing worse for a career than expectations built up on old classes that you did not recruit (system fit?) and young talent. I think Texas and USC has 1 thing in common. Young kids on the DL are going to play a heavy role in the final record.

I'd rather Clemson was #1 to be honest.

I like being overlooked in the preseason. Need a "Saban is leaving Alabama" article to come out soon.
