Why do fans of teams that play each other get ups about rankings? Who cares who is higher between OSU and Michigan? It's going to get settled on the field. I think MSU and OSU are too high but it doesn't matter. If Iowa takes care of business in their games they'll get to prove if they're better than the East champ. OSU and Michigan are going to play. Who is ranked higher now is irrelevant

I guess they are basing their opinion on a proven track record and winning NCs. Maybe when Harbs does that he will get some of those "stupid" people to believe in him too.

It is one of the toughest schedules in the nation. I'm interested to see how Helton does with the strong SOS in his first solid year. But I'm really interested in how the defense looks. Between the losses on the D line and Pendergast taking over as DC.

I was thrilled to see Wilcox go. Last years SC defense may have been one of the worst I've ever seen SC field. Sloppy tackling,receivers roaming free,not stacking the box on obvious running downs.The play calling was terrible and the defense didn't look prepped. I'm hoping to see Pendergast improve the fundamentals SC lacked with Wilcox and upgrade the play calling. They have the talent. I do think they are ranked a bit too high right now tho.
