If Harbaugh ends up with the Vikings, we have a head coach opening. Realistically, I think they will take the safe route and promote Gattis if for anything else, to keep the team, recruiting class, and coaching staff mainly intact. He seems popular with everyone, I'm just unsure of his ability to be the head man.
That doesn't mean they shouldn't at least reach out to other candidates. With it being this late into the process it might be hard to get some guys to jump unless the money and situation is right for them. Here's my 5 I would like to see them go after if they don't go the Gattis route...
1. Matt Campbell
2. Matt Rhule
3. Luke Fickell
4. PJ Fleck
5. David Shaw
