Correct me if I am wrong but, I think Shannaban has said something like 1 pre-season game is the same as 10 regular season games, or was that post-season?

I read somewhere else this comment so I cannot take credit for it but I thought it was great. "Giving a veteran player a 3 game pre-season suspension is like telling a kid he doesn't need to eat his vegtables and can go straight to dessert."

Kind of.

I mean, reading that statement there are two WTF parts.
1) He thinks it was self defence at all
2) Maybe, had Phil not swung the second time, there may not have been any suspension. I got the impression it was the fact that he "continued" swinging is what riled Shanny up.



I guess no one told Shanny that the Leaves are a division rival of Detroit now. Had he known that, Kessel might have got 15 games.

Shanny said he has no history of doing this 20 seconds after showing him swinging his stick against one of the Flyers. I know I said wasn't going to comment on this again but that's as lame as it gets.
