For all the SportsHoopla about the Clips dethroning Lakers in L.A., they go up in smoke whiffing 4 in a row after taking a commanding 2-0 lead.

Where did they go wrong? Who cares! They'll always be staring at the Lakers' banners up at Staples even if they win a meaningless pacific division, big whoop

After this debacle, interesting if CP3 is willing to re-up with them....might he consider taking less dough and signing with Lakers which would require some major player movement(minus Kobe, D12).

It's going to be interesting with the Clippers and CP3!! If the Clippers stick to their previous history, I believe that one of 2 things will happen.

1.) The Clippers re-sign CP3, but then start letting the other players leave via free agency as their contracts expire.

2.) The Clippers let CP3 walk and start letting the other players walk as their contracts expire.

It will be surprising if they actually try to keep this team together for any kind of long term.

Good team the Clippers, but Griffin needs to develop a better post game that does not engaged in so much pushing, shoving, hitting and hi fly acts. A little finesse would change that team completely. This was something that Phil Jackson pointed out to Shaq in their championship runs. Phil basically told Shaq to stop being a bully with his fat ass and learn some finesse.

I'm not totally convinced of that - I continued to hear reports all season long from Ralph Lawler that the head coach was asking Lamar Odom to step up and do more as a player in scoring and defense. Lamar is one of those players that is lazy - and a slacker. I actually thought I was listening to an old Lakers game when he said that - it sounded so familiar

That's true, but it's generally how most teams are built. You have a couple of guys who can create their own shot and then everyone else has their roles or depends on those guys for shots.

Plus, they have more than those 2. Bledsoe and Odom could also create their own shots and to a lesser extent because of age and past injuries, so can Billups and Hill!!

The big problem for the Clippers, imo, is that Gasol and Z-Bo are much more accomplished players than Griffin and Jordan!! Once the Grizzlies started exploiting that, the Clippers were done.

Kevin love is injury prone and not a good trade for Griffin. What the coaching staff needs to do is help Griffin develop his game - He has the talent - he just hasn't had the leadership to teach him. You need to remember that Kobe Bryant had teachers like Shaq and Phil Jackson. Griffin hasn't had shit

Agree!! I would be shocked if the Clippers actually did anything, though. Historically speaking, we are more likely to see these players be allowed to leave as their contracts expire and then replaced by cheaper, less talented players.

The problem for the Clippers is that they just can't seem to get out of their own way!! They started out in San Diego and if memory serves, had a solid following even though they were never any good.

For some reason, Donald Sterling insisted that they had to move to Los Angeles and compete directly with the far more established and successful Lakers.

They end up in the L.A. Sports Arena which is a dump. Meanwhile, they started playing some exhibition games and a few regular season games at The Pond in Anaheim when it was still a new facility. They always drew well (usually better than at the Sports Arena, if memory serves), were invited to make it their permanent home and turned it down to remain in a city where they will always be 2nd class citizens.

Add to that, the fact that they have a history of getting some talent for a couple of years here and there and then letting those players go as soon as it came time to pay them what they were worth and it's easy to see why Lakers fans don't think much of the Clippers.
