WE are going to have to generate new offense down the stretch from somebody else or a number of players rather than expecting Kobe to hit those shots because he missed 5 out of six and it is no longer working.

What can you do, Clippers shot 20 free throws in the 4th. Still, if Kobe hits those shots it's game over for the Clippers with a minute to go.

Tried hard to establish some action here Hoop for the Lakers boards early on when a lot of us came over from SeeBS but found little response.

Checked in every so often but spent most of my time on the PAC thread CFB and the Rams boards....

Heck, I've got nearly 4300 posts!

I dont blame Byron cause i think he did what anyone would do, put it in your stars hands after he was playing well you figure he would drop one but Kobe just didnt have it. He definitely looked flat in that 4th though, not sure what it was but he hasn't looked well conditioned this season so far.

WE were getting offense from several players with about 6 to go until they started fouling out and then the Lakers shifted to Kobe ball and that just is no longer a viable option down the stretch. Lin quit driving and passing off to Hill, Clarkson was taken out, and on and on it goes. Kobe is not 21 anymore and if we keep depending on him instead of continuing to develop our offense, we are going to have more disheartening nights like this.

Better spacing and thus more flow from the offense tonight. Griffin is just too much of a load inside though. No one the roster can handle him when he's on. He just bulldozed his way into easy shots and picked up fouls

True that, and he along with Lin led the team in minutes at 32.

Thats true that was a huge problem for us. Blake really has improved im almost impressed. Those free throw though, ugh!!!

The Lakers shot more threes but they also shot more open threes, not just chucking them up. They shot 60% for the first 3 quarters so they were pretty much playing about as good as possible. Kobe had 7 assists, I don't know whether it was his teammates not moving or Kobe just trying to finish the job himself but the offense completely stalled at the end.
