If not for Kipper, the final score is probably 4-1 or 5-1 for the Wings tonight. Men against confused boys tonight. Oh well, congrats on the win Detroit.

WAY too many good defensemen for that. In the Colorado game they looked a bit sloppy, too. Maybe switch up the pairings. No idea why JayBo doesn't play with Regehr. That sounds like a great match.

With the way the refs played in the 1st, I thought the score was gonna end up 13-12 or something. I thought Mickey Redmond was gonna go into convulsions. The only thing that would have killed him more is if there was a debate on wood sticks...

That game put Jiri Hudler in a tight spot. How can you take anybody off the 3rd now with how Mo, Abby and Cleary played. Danny boy was in full effect last night.

Yup, effectively shut down the big guns (Dats, Zetts, Lids) and get burned twice by the 3rd line. I still think the GWG was offsides, but obviously the linesmen had a much better look than me.

Not a lot of room on the top six, but Hudler's too good to be scratched or on the fourth line. I'd like to see him get some time with Datsyuk and jump start his season.

Modano will probably sit on Friday. Babcock said he's old and shouldn't go back to back nights. Ok, he didn't quite say it like that, but you know...

It was about as close as you could get. I'm surprised it wasn't argued more by the Flames. I guess it didn't look like Iggy's leash would reach that far from the bench to argue anyway. Tough night for him for sure. The refs even curtailed one of his attempts to stir things up at home.

Many times when the score was 2-1, Calgary was like this close --><-- to getting a great scoring chance...only to wind up doing something stupid. Then they wouldn't even get a shot off. It was weird.

I thought the funniest thing of the night was the refs handing out really cheapy penalties...seemingly in order to create a high scoring game. And what happened? Calgary and Detroit went 0-7 and 0-6 on the powerplay lol.

Not to nitpick, but the Flames lone goal last night was scored on a 4-on-3 PP late in the 1st period.

/Sure could have used another one in the 3rd period on that 4 minute PP
