Scott Lucas had a good note about Mazara today. He said, "Mazara, born April 1995, is the youngest hitter on the Riders. If Texas demoted him to High Desert, he'd be the youngest there, too. If Texas shipped him down to Hickory, he'd be fourth youngest."
Mazara 's line is 291/.363/.454
Literally popped into my head as soon as the chance appeared.
This was his response to what the infield could look like in 2017 if Profar remains healthy.
Free agent after 2016 season.Rua over Moreland?
Grant: After absolutely necessary bounce-back win, here's reality of what Rangers must do to have playoff shot | Dallas Morning News
The reality is this: The Rangers must play above .600 for the rest of the season to have even a chance, probably closer to .650. In the Wild Card Era since 1995, the fewest wins for a team that ended up winning a division in the AL in a 162-game season is 86 by Cleveland in 1997. Over the first 19 full seasons of a three-division AL setup, only six of the 57 division winners won fewer than 90 games.
To get to 89 wins, the Rangers must win two of every three games the rest of the way and go 33-16. To get to 86, they must play at a .612 clip (30-19). It can be done.

Sadzeck will probably be a reliever in the big leagues as well. Not a good night for Mazara. Brinson showed a good eye tonight. A reliever we need to keep an eye on is Jose Valdespina. Big strong right handed who sits 96-97 with some nice movement.
I think Evan is being extremely optimistic. The performance of other teams is a factor as well. Nothing is for certain here.
