At least you listed good movies. I always liked Oklahoma. Great Rogers & Hammerstein musical. Not a real fan of West Side Story, but most movie historians have it in the top 100 of all time.

"West Side Story" has a sadder ending than most musicals, but the songs are right up there with anything those 2 teamed up on. And it is a credible plot-line, which is important to me. I especially love "MARIA!"

For my money the best thing Peck ever did was "Moby Dick." He made Captain Ahab's obsession
with the white whale very credible.

He was a great actor. He was also good in "To Kill a Mockingbird."

But I had forgotten about Moby Dick.

A little known movie I'm fond of is "Cowboy", with Jack Lemmon as Frank Harris, who at the start is a Chicago
hotel clerk dreaming of getting into cattle ranching. He gets his chance and most of the movie is about what he makes of that chance.

Very uncharacteristic role for Lemmon but he's good in it.

It also has Glen Ford as the ranch owner who gives Harris the opportunity.

Dr. Strangelove is a great movie. On my top 25 list. I didn't like Pulp Fiction, but probably in a minority there. Chinatown and Network are great pics.

Paths of Glory is also one of my favorite Kubrick pictures.
