“Russell (Okung) knows zone blocking from working with Marshawn (Lynch) in Seattle. Donald (Stephenson) had the same stuff in Kansas City. And I know what Ty (Sambrailo), Max (Garcia) and Matt (Paradis) are going to give me when I look inside. We hear it all the time that the offense isn’t good enough. We can’t worry about outside noise. All we can do is prove people wrong.”~C.J. Anderson.
CJ seems particularly motivated this year - in great shape, but I really liked this quote. They are the most disrespected unit on the Broncos team - they have group motivation coming out of the gazoo - the interior of the line is young enough they still have upside in the offense and the two tackles - have experience and success (some) with the zone blocking concepts. On a championship team - there must be very strong peer pressure (unspoken) for the laggard units to get themselves up to snuff. If the team culture is healthy and selfless - it works for motivation.
