--Mark Baron at 7? Really? When you pick a safety in the top 10 he better be a once in a lifetime prospect. Baron is not.

--Stephen Gilmore at 10 to Buffalo? When the kids actually played football did anyone have this kid as a top 10?

--Luke Kuechly at 9? I hope the best for him. He's a cincy kid, but I'm afraid he'll be much like another linebacker taken 9th overall - Keith Rivers

--Dontari Poe at 11? The kid has played hard on exactly three plays in his entire career. He'll eat his way out of the league.

Kuechly is infinitely better than Rivers ever was. Gilmore has been talked about top 10 a lot. Even as high as 5 to TB.

My point about Gilmore was that he wasn't thought of as a top 10 corner back in the fall. He has moved up over the past few weeks, mostly because of a week corner class. Supply and demand did him well.

Time will tell, but I think you seriously underestimate Barron......

Quinten Coples is my choice. I watched him a ton in college and the talk of him taking plays off is spot on. It seems like he doesn't even care about football sometimes

yea, I actually think he has one of the "lowest floors" in the draft

wth was i talking about here.. meant highest, as in he's one of the safer picks in the draft..
I'd be shocked if he's not a quality player in the leauge

Remember too that before players were overevaluated (i.e. Gilmore) Kirkpatrick was considered to be a top 15 lock. I think he'll be a good player. He's actually alot like the younger version of Nate Clements.

The problem with Kirkpatrick is now we have 2 starting CBs who neither one is fast enough to cover Wallace or Smith. I would still love to see them take Jenkins in the 2nd. Move Kirkpatrick to S ala Malcolm Jenkins.

I like Kirkpatrick just fine. He was the best corner left, and should start right away, especially if Hall isn't ready, which he probably won't be. We now have six first round corners....hilarious.....

I agree with everything the OP said, except about Kuechly. I think he'll be a solid player for years to come.

I'm pulling for a RB in rd 2. Gimme LaMarr Miller or David Wilson and I'll be happy with the first two rounds.

I was reaching with kuechly..... He looks like he has great skills and should be fine. But, he's an ILB and that's quite an investment where he was selected.

It's not that I don't think Mark Baron is a good player. I do. I just don't expect him to be Troy P., Ed Reed, or the late Sean Taylor..... He doesn't strike me as a top 10 pick.

That's what I was thinking. He isn't Reed or Eric Berry. He would be a solid pick at the middle of the 1st.
