Hope it works out, how is he in pass protection?
Not sure about his pass blocking, but they only gave up a 7th rd pick.

On this play, his "assignment" did not get up after the play.
One on one blocking against a LB? He stinks... EZ to chip a DE when being blocked by Russell Okung...
He isn't a hard worker and he fumbles too much...

...well you did cut him so you are following protocol.
We cut him?
That's a nice value IMO. From most accounts, he is a certified knucklehead, but a very talented one. A 7th rounder won't be missed if he gets his head screwed on straight.Yeah 7th rounder for a former 2nd rounder that has some upside, hopefully gives the most value to the Cowboys in that move. Hoping he becomes a good player for the Boys.

I hope you like your back up QB.
That good huh?
Well he likely isn't playing with the starters to begin the season, so we will have to see how it all plays out.
It's rough. Michael has no situational awareness in pass pro. The kid is explosive. He can jet, and has a great burst. He'll hit the hole like a freight train.
When he picks the right hole, that is. And then you hold your breath that he he isn't going to put the ball on the turf. Maybe your coaching staff can get through to him. Ours sure couldn't.
I like the value upside, hope he pans out. Jury will certainly be out
