It is announced that he is going to be promoted to the Major leagues... What does that mean for Alcides escobar???

Alcides has nothing to worry about. 3B is the weak link in the Royals infield, and maybe Infante can take a seat now and again, but I don't see this as any kind of threat to (arguably) the Royals best player.

I highly doubt it. I don't think Colon is up to take over short stop. I think he's replacing Pedro Ciriaco, as a utility infielder... maybe I'm wrong.

Alcides may be the best defensive shortstop in baseball. No chance they move him to third. A day off now and again might happen though.
