Thus, the Huskers picked up a three-star prospect (according to Rivals, Scout and 247Sports) who projects to the same position as current Nebraska slot De’Mornay Pierson-El. Spielman played a similar role last season for Eden Prairie, which won its fourth straight “big school” state title and 10th in the last 19 years. Spielman is the son of Vikings General Manager Rick Spielman and the nephew of Rick’s brother, former Ohio State and Lions linebacker Chris Spielman. The latter has served as an ABC/ESPN TV analyst for many Nebraska games in recent years.

I bet there is mention of the commitment. Of course, February is a long way off.

Spielman is probably my favorite color guy.

A lot of times you get ex players who do these games and you get a strong sense that they'd much rather be anywhere else than where they are. He shows genuine interest in Husker games and his analysis is always on point.

I always thought he should become a coach. He would be a good one.

He's always liked Nebraska. I imagine that had something to do with why his nephew committed to NU.

If you haven't seen the nephews highlights, they are insane. He ruins kids careers on basically every play.

If I'm not mistaken; I think Spielman played with BoP at tOSU, I don't think they were in the same class but they were on the team together. I thought that was the reason he seemed pro-husker.

I'd take anyone over Ed Cuntingham, can't stand that guy.
