he is a complete wackjob. who the hell waits for his team to go take batting practice and goes in the clubhouse and cuts up everybodies uniforms? he is so concerned about winning that he hurts his teams chances of winning by not pitching. they wore the uniforms last yr and he was fitted to wear them in january. he has had 4 strange meltdowns in the last 2 yrs. flips out in Detroit claiming someone had binoculars in the outfield stealing signs, tried breaking into the royals dugout to fight, rips his gm for kicking a kid out of the clubhouse, and now this. he is the best pitcher in a white sox uni in the last 50 yrs but something is just off with him. I don't expect him to be traded either

Don't get me wrong, I'm not taking up for him. I'm just saying that the team could have just pushed his start to the next day and none of this would have went down.

first off, I hate those uniforms. Second, if the jersey deters the players from playing the game or if they are uncomfortable or awkward, don't force players to wear them. Sale complained about them in the past and he is their ace, they should listen to the players.

Finally, I think he elevated it through the system that he didn't want to wear them the best way he could and was ignored. I think it is childish that he resorted to cutting them up, but I think the organization failed him in not coming to some kind of terms with him. Change the rotation, move the throwback day....anything could have stopped this from happening.

I agree Sale went too far however if they truly affect his mechanics it should be an easy problem to avoid. Just push his start to avoid him being used when the team wears them.

They said it was a scheduled promotion, so in this case he did not have a choice.

hes not trying to get out of chicago he is just weird hot head. his agent came out and complained about the sox mentioning his name in trade talks

I think it was Stark or somebody was on our local show and said Sale asked the organization to not start him with those uniforms because they used throwbacks earlier in the season and they were too uncomfortable and the White Sox said ok..don't know if it's true but it was tossed out there.
