There are rumors swirling here in the northeast that Belichick and Elway have been in discussions about Shane Ray. Is there anything being said out in the Denver area?? The Patriots have not been able to get to a QB for the past couple of weeks and BB is looking to cut someone and add a threat.

I think at this point we would all be thrilled with a bag of peanuts for Shane Ray! Take him! The only thing getting in the way is the comp picks. I doubt we get a high one for him at this point anyway as he won't get a rich contract.

The Patriots are 8-4 in AFC Championship games since 2001. Strangely, that's 12 of 17 seasons. They lost to the Ravens at Gillette, and that was their only loss at home. They lost 3 on the road. They were successful enough to play in 8 Super Bowls and win 5 which were all on the road. How many AFC Championships have the Chiefs won since 2001 and how many playioff games have they lost in Arrowhead? How well have the Broncos done on the road in AFC Championships??

It's statements like yours that confirm that hate twists the mind.

So does Homerism and arbitrary dates and statistics. Just saying.

From my maths, it looks like the Broncos have been in 10 AFCCG's.

We've had 2 games on the road, and are 1-1.

Our record overall in AFCCG's is 8-2, over 38 years.

During our most consistent playoff appearances from 1986 to 1998, we went to 6 of 12 of the AFCCG's.

And just a point of clarification, there has really never been a home team in the Superbowl. Niners and Rams are the closest, but still played in other venues, and not their home stadium. So all teams can take credit for playing an "away" game. Last I checked, Denver won all three of their Superbowls on the road as well.

Denver has played in 8 Superbowls, winning 3. The main difference between yours and ours is the QB and HC have been the same throughout most of them. Impressive, no doubt, and a better record. But overall, really not that much better.

Pats have been to 14 total, 15 if you include the 1963 Championship game.

Pats are 12-3 overall in AFCCG's, over 54 years.

Pats road record is 4-3, with 2 of 3 losses to Broncos, including the win in the 1963 game.

From 1996 to 2017 (20-ish consistent playoff appearances), Pats have 13 appearances, including 7 straight from 2011 - 2017. Very impressive.

Broncos in 8 Superbowls, Pats in 11.

Broncos won 3, Pats won 5.

Can we retire the subject thread title? Just stop any nonsense that Chris Harris is on the trade block. Harris is not only one of the great Bronco CBs (among many) - he is the least costly to maintain in dollars or emotional grief.

Maybe DT, but that would be the only one I could see. DT himself said it was 50/50 if he got delt.

Even though he has gotten respect in recent years I think Chris Harris is still very underated. Has the 3rd lowest total yards given up this year when targeted at just a smidge above 50.

Minkah Fitzpatrick is #1.

Harris reminds me of Yadir Molina in baseball, just an all around good guy that if you watch him every week like we do you can appreciate the little things he does that most people don’t notice.

I remember way back during the KFFL days - one of our Top 10 Broncos of All Time list - I put Chris Harris on there ..

Up to that point, he had played very good, but the fact that he went undrafted was what I really loved .. Nothing has changed for me, but I think, in my book, he's passed Champ as the greatest CB to wear a Bronco uniform ..

In fact, I think he's in the argument for greatest defensive Bronco player ever .. Certainly one of my favorites, all time

One guy I hope spends his entire career in Denver, and, if he were to continue coaching, I'd love to see him on the sidelines for the Broncos

Today will be an interesting day. We will know if DT remains a Bronco or if he is shipped elsewhere. He is really the only player I see possibly getting traded.

Report saying Denver has come down on their asking price for DT.

Sounds like very good chance he is traded today.

Denver is seeking a 3rd... Packers had made an offer that included a 3rd but also had a pick going back to them last week. We will see. I wouldn't trade him for a 5th. You can get that in the offseason for him. Why do it now? That is just me! Not saying we won't end up trading him for a 5th. I just don't like it. I'd hold out until the offseason and get a 5th for him if that was the case.

Be nice to get 14 mil more in cap space next year. Hate to see DT go, but I feel it is probably what we need to do. Sutton is out producing him in recent weeks in a smaller role.

DT has been a great teammate and player for us for some time now... You don't find many players with his attitude/un diva like style at the WR position. I shared this before but I got to spend some time at his house as one of the indoor players I have on a team lives with him, just an all around great guy. But it's a business and he isn't producing what we paid him. He hasn't been in a great situation the last three years.

If we do move him today, I hope he does excellent elsewhere. He is a guy who you just can't root against as a person.
