Chiefs agreed to terms with CB Morris Claiborne on a one-year contract.
Per NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, the deal is worth "up to" $1.5 million. Claiborne is suspended the first four games of the season for violating the league's substance-abuse policy. Now 29, Claiborne remained an every-week starter for the Jets last season, though he earned sub-replacement level marks from Pro Football Focus. As was the case last year, the Chiefs have one of the league's thinnest cornerback groups.

This kinda feels like the plan B to if one of Ward or Breeland flake out at CB prior to the deadline. Fuller should be fine, but the depth is fine. Need starters more than depth.

Still probably need to go fishing at the deadline for a CB to put the D over the top and get it taken seriously by good offenses again.

The development of Hardman and especially Thornhill are a lot more important to the Chiefs than Morris Claiborne is gonna be, if we're being real though. I don't expect an ideal version of Claiborne ala 2016 to show up.

Worth up to $1.5M? Seems like a good move to me. Guy isn't good but you could do worse and anytime I see "up to" I assume he ain't gettin' that

Come on guys it's a process, at least they're learning. At least now they're going after druggies instead of people who beat woman and children. I mean sure they just traded for Frank Clark but it's a marathon not a sprint people.

The media amplifies little things because that is their job. Journalists are empowered to go out and hunt. Problem is that many are bad hunters.

To find the scoop, that little nugget which may or may not be true, takes effort. Good journalists spend most of the time researching, editing, and reality checking. Unfortunately, most media guys don’t follow basic good practices.

With digital media, you can shovel unprecedented amounts of BS into the media feeds and vox populi. In gargantuan proportion, unsourced social media has become the new sheriff. That is one of the reasons why a lot of stuff you read in the media is junk.

It's about time that the Chiefs caught up to the rest of the AFC West. A few years ago, we had Peyton Manning peddling HGH out of his Denver home. Capitalism has no boundaries and the innovative find a way!
