Moncada is a very dumb baseball player but it is obvious that he has the tools to be a all star in the league.

yeah, it's dumb to write off a 23-year-old who barely has a season's worth of playing time (169 games and 725 PA) though it's not a small sample size either. Would like to see him show some improvement in the strikeout department.

It took Jackie Bradley a couple years to turn into a viable outfielder, he had a 53 OPS+ in his first 530 PA. He's struggled this year at the plate (though he's looked much better since the beginning of July), but he still has a 101 OPS+ since getting called up in 2015. Bogaerts had an 84 OPS+ in his first 644 PA as a major leaguer and it wasn't until this year that his power really translated to the major league level.

agreed. I’m not saying he’s going to be as good as javy Baez but it just goes to show don’t judge a guy so early in his career

Another good example. And unlike Baez, Moncada at least has demonstrated the ability to draw walks. Baez can murder a curveball though.

So Kopech was kinda good again tonight. Gotta think they're happy with his progress.

161 K's in 120 innings, 79 in his last 58 innings pitched. He's also gone 7 innings in each of his last 3 starts.

I would say the same about any player dumb enough to chew tobacco. All of your lines apply above plus it gives you cancer.

Yeah, but it gives you a buzz when you first start, and it keeps people from going postal. Plus many slaves were brought over to chop tobacco, so if not for tobacco, many of our black friends wouldn't be in America today.

Not a South Park fan, I see.
If you were Trey Parker making that joke on a cartoon TV show that makes fun of everything, I would laugh. But you're just you.

And FTR, Trey Parker did make that joke in the Butt Out episode.
