Moncada is a very dumb baseball player but it is obvious that he has the tools to be a all star in the league.
yeah, it's dumb to write off a 23-year-old who barely has a season's worth of playing time (169 games and 725 PA) though it's not a small sample size either. Would like to see him show some improvement in the strikeout department.
It took Jackie Bradley a couple years to turn into a viable outfielder, he had a 53 OPS+ in his first 530 PA. He's struggled this year at the plate (though he's looked much better since the beginning of July), but he still has a 101 OPS+ since getting called up in 2015. Bogaerts had an 84 OPS+ in his first 644 PA as a major leaguer and it wasn't until this year that his power really translated to the major league level.
