Before the season I thought our defense could be as bad as it was against OSU, mainly because we were losing a couple of really good defensive players from a team that got PLASTERED 3 times against good, but not great teams.

It very easily could've been a fourth plastering if Braxton didn't get injured against us.

The main reason why I figured our defense would be bad was because of Pelini's history of fielding undisciplined football teams here at Nebraska.

I don't disagree with ya at all. If I posted half my thoughts, I'd be ran outta the hoop :tape:

Yeah I remember when I said there's a very real possibility Nebraska could have a losing season in 2012. Unless the turnover problems are alleviated the rest of this season, that could still happen.

As far as reality seeming negative to some people. My brother who recently passed away, pretty much drank himself to death at 62. I've told a few people lately about how liquor can be a person's master and there's nothing good that comes out of drinking that I can think of. I could be more diplomatic, but being angry about the needless death of my brother because of the powerful addiction of alcohol, prevents me from being nicey nicey about this.

I've seen so many people over the years who just totally fucked up their lives with alcohol, and people around them that I can't help thinking what I posted here even though it may seem like a negative comment.

How much did he drink?

I will usually drink a couple (large) drinks a night but have no evidence it is effecting my health. I did have a live disease years back that could of killed me but that was likely contracted in the army.

I will drink too much occasionally though occasionally is more often recently.

Just curious what his habits were. There was a time When I was young if there wasn't alcohol I wasn't going, but that was years ago. I hope I am more balanced now.

just went through alcohol treatment at age 22. i saw plenty of people who could not control their drinking. it's a challenge for me, but it is very sad to hear about someone who didn't make it. RIP. it wasn't his fault, trust me.

He would drink 2 to 5 forty ounce magnums almost every night plus different brands of whiskey or bourbon, I'm not sure how much on those. He got to the point where he wouldn't eat anything also according to his 22 and 25 year old boys, than he tried to quit drinking cold turkey for a few days, which is a very very bad thing for an alcoholic to do. His boys finally called 911 to have him taken to the hospital. His kidneys, liver, and lungs were already irreversibly damaged. He died two weeks after getting to the hospital.

My brother was a large man, about 6' 1" and 315lbs.

I can't blame my brother, like I said before, when a person gets addicted to that shit, it becomes your master like cigarettes and other drugs, legal or illegal.
