I would like someone to explain to me why they did not kick a field goal to end the half... the good news for the Jets is that they would have still won even if the falcons kicked it then. that last TD the falcons scored they would have kicked a field goal on one of the 4th down plays to tie the game...

Mike Smith panics in games and does stupid shit. That is why.

You knew right away when they got the PI that they would then try and run it from the 1. So predictable.

Extremely Slim

Without even looking at the remaining schedule...the Falcons need to fix themselves, and I'm not sure they can w/o Julio, a limited Roddy, and 'Spoon still out til week 11 at the earliest.

SJax getting back will help, but I think ATL will end up 9-7 best case.

He does...knowing the Falcon's history, the consistency coach Smith has had here keeps the media off him pretty much...going for it on 4th down against the Saints got talked about for a couple of days and it was squashed.

I will say...he's a very organized guy, typically lets the OC and DC run the game on game day. He'll probably get a pass because of the injuries this year.

This is their remaining schedule:

They have a bye next week, then...

vs Tampa Bay
at Arizona
at Carolina
vs Seattle
at Tampa Bay
vs New Orleans
at Buffalo
at Green Bay
vs Washington
at San Fransisco
vs Carolina

Assuming 10-6 gets in and 9-7 does not in an average year, they can only lose 2 more games. At Green Bay and at San Fransisco will be tough. If those are the loses, they would have to win every other game including home to New Orleans and home to Seattle.

Tough but not impossible.

It's not looking good. All the receivers are going down like dominos and Steven Jackson has yet to make an impact. I'd like to think that the defense will keep them in it, but I just don't know.
