So now you're backtracking and agreeing they have legitimate chances to make the CFP. Perhaps you aren't as dumb as you look.
I never said you did or didn’t have a chance at the playoffs. I said you play in a weak conference. There is a difference.

The article stated that no one in the PAC12 was a contender for a national title.

Not sure why you are so high on MSU...they didn't pick up enough pieces to improve a shitty 2018 squad.
If a shitty squad gave everything Oregon could handle, what does that say about Oregon?

You keep saying parity but the conference is losing more game against P5 opponents than they are winning.

Those two things are not exclusive.

Maybe I'm just being biased, but I really don't understand the love for OSU in these early season polls. They lost one of the greatest coaching minds of our generation, 9 kids to the NFL, have an unproven coach replacing said coach of a generation and are relying on a QB who has little to no starting experience and is an unproven commodity. I think they'll be a good team, maybe they end up being a great team, but the pre-season love OSU is getting with so many unknowns is silly.

Ohio State is always loaded with talent, but I'm leery of the QB situation, especially the lack of depth. Though we have seen them just plug in the new guy and keep humming along, it seems they're overdue for a whiff at QB.
Agreed. For relying on two transfers who've never started, OSU is being ranked pretty damn high in these. And I think losing Urban will hurt more than these things are letting on. When Alabama loses Nick Saban, do they continue to do what they're doing? Unlikely.

Must be nice to play in the only P5 conference that doesn’t have a team with a shot at a natty.

i got suckered into that conference once..2 years ago

i thought USC/Washington would be undefeated going into the CCG. both lost like 4 games and it was embarrassing.

Holy shit, an article I more/less agree with. I think they should have left it with 'Playoff contenders' and 'wildcards' instead of adding 'national title' to the list. If you make the playoff.... I don't care, you have a shot.

That's not what history tells us. In 3 of the last four years, Clemson and Bama have combined to beat their first-round opponents by an average score of 34-10. In the fourth year, Clemson and Bama played in the first round. I mean, I'd love Nebraska to make the playoffs. Clemson never gets to play them, their fans are great, and that was the opponent in 1981. But, at the end of the day, I don't think Bama or Clemson care who they beat on their way to the tie-breaker.
