And then Wisconsin will destroy Nebraska but not gain anything, because they won't play another team on ASU's schedule, even though they would kill ASU as well.

Makes no sense.

I guess your conference shouldn't lose OOC games then. Makes perfect sense to me, what wouldn't make sense is taking away the land from the team that already took it simple because the big and mighty Wisconsin won as well.

Alabama just beat Colorado St and got nothing. So fucking what? Who cares? I mean are you really going to throw a fit because of a silly map? Or can you just like, I dunno, maybe just enjoy it for what it is?

It'd be far more entertaining to the masses if Northern Illinois occupied Nebraska. Particularly since they won in Lincoln. Just sayin'.

A version that only gave land to road games would be interesting, but much slower.

I'm disappointed that Northern Illinois doesn't occupy Nebraska.

After all they beat Nebraska in Lincoln and Nebraska lost @ Oregon.

If anything Boston College should occupy Nebraska, no?
First come first serve. that's why Oregon doesn't have Wyoming because they lost at Iowa first

Okay, then why aren't there about 40 teams listed as having some kind of territory at the end of the year, since there are about 40 bowl game winners? :noidea:

Yeah, yeah, I know "it's for fun!"...I'm just a data analyst, I have a high need to make sense of charts and graphs
because it isn't about winning. its about beating the right team at the right time. if a team goes into a bowl after a final season loss they have no territory for the bowl winner to take over.

Saw this elsewhere and thought it was kind of cool/different.

Basically, everyone gets a territory in their area. When you beat a team, you gain all their territory, when you lose - then you lose everything.

Here is after week 1.

I'll post week 2 when it updates/I find it.
So, basically the game Risk.

I get the rules. I just don't think it makes any sense.

They can make up any rules you want, but it's like kids playing cowboys and Indians or whatever. "That doesn't count 'cause I already shot you."

And then obviously the territories weren't right to begin with. Wisconsin should have been the whole state, obviously. There are more Texas fans than Baylor fans even 5 minutes outside of Waco. And so on.
It actually make perfect sense. as far as Wisconsin being the whole state, No because the campus or stadium is not closer to the northern counties as Minn is.

So, basically the game Risk.
In risk Oregon would only be able to take Washington, Idaho, Nevada and California. maybe Hawaii. but in this beating Nebraska gave them an area they wouldn't be able to obtain in Risk. and since Nebraska beat Ark St Oregon also gained that area.

So looking at the final 2016 map, how does Michigan have territory but not FSU? Does it not include bowl games?

If so, how does Florida have territory but not FSU?

I didn't either, but I can't figure out how we got territory in Arizona without it.

Probably a territory that Alabama had due to an opponent they beat earlier in the year, and then you beat them. That's my best guess. I just don't understand how FSU can have zero territory but both UF and Michigan do
