CBS College Football Bd Poster has passed

To my fellow ex-CBS posters I have some sad news a poster who went by the name "Rammer Jammer" at CBS has passed away. There are many of us that have kept up with RJ on another site but it occurred to me that there might be several if not more of you guys that will remember him fondly and would like to know.

I don't want to give out too much personal information but RJ has battle cancer for pretty much a year and he had ups and downs with it before he finally submitted to the sickness.

He loved Alabama football and was a true gentlemen whom was genuinely happy for any of his friends when they won. They don't come any better than RJ and he will be extremely missed.

RJ was definitely one of the good ones. During his battle with cancer, he never complained and kept a positive disposition. He will be sorely missed by those of us who got to know him.

Didn't know him, but always sad to hear when anyone passes away. I'm sure he is in a better place where he can watch the Tide with Bear! Cancer just sucks, hate it. Thoughts prayers with his family and those of you who knew him. RIP.

I agree, I actually have an Uncle that has been given 6 months or less. He just lost his father to emphysema and his brother died of cancer a few years back. The whole family on his side are heavy smokers, drinkers and in some cases drug abusers(black sheep side) and are dropping like flies recently. I will miss the old Uncle I used to know, but this one from the past 10 years or so will not be missed, he has been a royal asshole that most people would like to see die a horrid death. He actually was told by his doctors when they found the cancer to stop smoking and drinking, he increased his cigarettes to a pack and a half per day and two bottles of hard liquor a day. His wife said she thought he wanted to die the way he carried on, but swore he was not doing anything out of his normal routine.

Thoughts and prayers for RJ's family. I don't remember him over at CBS but I can identify with what his family is going through. My wife's mom lost a 2 year battle with breast cancer a couple of years ago. It was and still is a very humbling experience.

So, that probably means he was an intelligent respectful low key poster who did not troll needless attention to himself.

So sad.... the virtual world is so anonymous that we often forget that each is coming from their own perspective based on wide variations in age, health, etc.

Thanks for bumping this, Goldrusher. I can't say for a fact that I recall the handle (can't remember what I ate for breakfast yesterday), but like Stampede said, he must have been a classy individual that kept a low profile and didn't piss anybody off. Clearly he made an impact on Wild Turkey and several others.
