Really hard to gauge the B12 at this point in the season. The top teams at this point have yet to be tested. BU, TT, Okie light, OU and UT have yet to play the meat of the conf (however, UT did beat OU), but there is still much room for movement with the schedules left. Alamo sounds about right for OU perhaps dropping to the Buff Wild Wing Bowl(wasn't this the Insight Bowl of the past?). Stoops has averaged 10-1/2 wins per season since taking over, so knows how to get there. winning them is another thing.

You guys are too hung up on "spots" remember that when a bowl says SEC #5 it doesn't mean the 5th place team. It means that bowl has the 5th pick of eligible SEC teams. they can take a 7-5 team over a 8-4 team if they wanted. things like location, opponent from other conference (avoiding rematch) or hosting the same team 2 years in a row could factor in.

this is true but why would auburn fall to the 8th best game and aTm be in the 3rd best?

even you have to admit that seems like a worst case scenario for auburn at this point. seems to me gator or cotton are a lot more likely. i feel like a BCS game for auburn is about as likely as the music city bowl at this point. maybe even more likely.

yeah, I just don't see us losing to tenn, Georgia, and bama

They do have to follow a certain set of rules. The B-one-G ranks their teams for bowl selection, and I believe a bowl cannot go further than on spot past where they are ranked.

Brad Edwards has AU/Clemson in the Sugar Bowl

Out of the "BCS experts" Edwards is my fav.

They pimp Schlabach as a BCS guy when its convenient. BUt he isnt really. Great analyst and z and o guy. He doesnt fully understand th BCS formula though.

cBS Jerry Palm is a lost cause.
