I only saw like the last 9 minutes but the Cavs D was atrocious, and their offense was almost all 1v1s, if not for Love draining a 3 in that guys face there would have been no lead up.

That will be achillies heal of the cavs. There defense

yea.... i mean that was true starting in year two.

but lets not forget. miami started 9-8 with a much more veteran team. Wade and Bosh were much more refined than Irving and Love.

Miami scored 9 points in their first quarter together.

we all mocked LeBron for his "its gonna take time" rhetoric. Maybe it was actually true? It took time for Miami to gel and that was a team of guys who were vets. Love hasn't played with anyone. Waiters and Irving are young.


I understand the joy it will bring some to see tonight happen. But lets not overreact. Its particularly odd for the Miami fans to react this way. The same ones who were on the other side of the fence 4 years ago begging for time and patience.

Also, that was the lakers with the dwight experiment two years ago.

Wade and Bosh were winners before LeBron came. Irving and Love have combined for how many playoff wins?

Marion & Miller are washed up. Varejao gets injured every year... every year. Thompson is a bad defender, Waiters is the most overrated SG in the league. They aren't a good defensive team. Their three point shooting is good but not great. I just don't think they're as good as people thought they would be. Sure, it'll take time for things to click, but they aren't invincible or anything close to it.

They're lucky they are in the East though.... so they'll still get the #2 seed.

Miami slow start had to do more with Lebron & Wade not knowing how to play together. Kyrie & Love are natural fits to play with Lebron.....No major adjustments is needed in their games to play with Lebron.

Miami first game was on the road against the Celtics team who just made the finals the year before. Cleveland first game was at home against a team who did not make the playoffs and were on the 2nd night of a B2B.

Significant difference.

Miami first home game together came against the Magic who made the ECF in the previous year and they stomped them out 96-70

All facts there, and I'll give em time, but if I had to bet, I'd say that the offense can get as good or better than Miami's was...but its gonna be tough to match the way Miami swarmed on defense. As for heat fans, I can't speak for em, but I'm fairly sure that Cavs fans will say ALOT of things that Heat fans said in that first year
