In several of my leagues I really suck at the C position and just wondering if you guys know any half decent C that can produce for me who may be on the waiver wire.

It would help if you could list of a few of the players in your league FA pool.

When you suck at catcher, I find it's just best to ride out one who will play nearly everyday, i.e. Avila. Keep your eye on Norris too, I like his plate discipline, and even though Jaso starts more, there's room to grow there.

Grandal is coming off suspension on May 28th, another to keep your eye on, as I don't see Hundley continuing a plus .300 average.

...other than that, tough to give you names without knowing the size of your league, etc.

Well in one league I solved my catching problem. Just picked up Buck and dropped Jesus Montero

In my other league (10 team league) there are 2 C positions on each roster and both of mine suck as I have Tyler Flowers & Jesus Montero while the FA options are

Castillo Wellington
Francisco Cervelli (DL)
Jason Castro
Alex Avilla
John Jaso

I would take Castro over Flowers (I actually did in my league). He's hitting 3rd these days, which is about the only place on the Astros with RBI potential. I drafted Avila too, and I'd probably have an eye on him, for a possible swap with Montero, but both "should" come around somewhat... otherwise, keep your eyes out for Zunino's arrival which may squash Montero's playing time.

...and careful on Buck, nice add now and ride him while he lasts, but there's no way he's keeping up his current pace for 50 homeruns or whatever it is...hard to imagine him even reaching 30, but ya never know I guess! I'm sure nobody thought he'd last a month, and here we are almost a week into May, so...

I've played Jordan Pacheco in my keeper league the past 2 weeks. I picked him up just to have someone who wouldn't kill me in batting average (not someone to pick up in roto leagues). He should play pretty much full time until Helton comes back.

I agree with you. I hope Buck ends up with 30+hr and also with 1b eligible. He will be a All Star this year.

I picked up Castro for Flowers.

I'm going to give Montero another 2-3 weeks
