CAST IRON, any users on here?

any of you guys use, restore or collect black iron?

We started with cast iron about 5 yrs ago...the enamel coated stuff initially from LeCreuset and Staub, both are excellent. The last 3 pcs have been Lodge...a dbl sided grill pan, a wok and grill press.

I don't collect or restore though.

Once you get the hang of it, nothing better.

It's never too cold to grill outside, however I have one 12" cast iron skillet and I'll be using it later today to sear a nice little NY Strip steak that is laying on a cutting board in my fridge.

This MOSTLY true, but it's also a day I'm willing to turn the knob on the gas grill and grill on my cast iron griddle vs firing up the Primo...especially if it's a short cook.

Use one of the cast irons almost daily.

Use Griswold and Wagner only. Have lots of
it.

Yep, pretty much what I think of Clemson as well...a place to put your butts

That and have pickers around the country. Friend in Kansas grabbed the Clemson ashtrays and @TemptressToo grabbed this ice shaver and other things...

I have my grandmothers cast iron pan... Its huge and weighs like 1000 pounds(not literally obviously lol) but I love it and will keep it forever...
