Took my engineering academy students to a tour of the Greensboro FedEx Airhub this week and figured I'd watch Cast Away afterwards.

Really well done movie with a great performance by Hanks. Not many actors could carry a movie alone like that, plus his extreme physical changes (granted Christian Bale has had some dramatic physical changes over the years).

Was playing Volleyball this week and got spiked in the face and got a bloody nose. No big deal but I went to serve and must've gotten some blood on the ball because everyone was like, "IT'S WILSON!!!"

Anyway got to thinking.. how cool would've it have been if Tom Hanks finally escaped the island, only to return to the states and find that a Zombie Apocalypse had broken out. Would've been an amazing sequel and Tom turned out to be pretty good with a spear and survival tactics.

I think the Studio missed a BIG time opportunity with this one. Thoughts on this?

As we saw in Fear this season, resources are scarce. If there was a boat of survivors from the ZA, they would not be picking up stragglers on the verge of death.

OK, how about this...

The whale swallows Wilson, but chokes on him. Hanks hollows out the whale and uses the guts to make a sail so he can get back to land. Since he has been living inside a whale for a week or so, he is covered in guts and the zombies dont "see" him.

Hilarity ensues...
