That is the most an Arizona Cardinal QB has thrown for in a regular season game since Sunday, November 15th... 2009 when Kurt Warner threw for 340.

In that span we've had 8 different "starting" QB's. Maybe we've finally found the right guy for at least the next 2 years or so.... hopefully our damn O-Line will protect him. (I'm looking at you Levi Brown)

Kurt Warner had Fitzgerald, Boldin, and Breaston when he threw for 340 yards.

Palmer has Fitzgerald, 2nd year Michael Floyd, Andre Roberts, and suspect O-Line.

Anyway.... the 2013 Arizona Cardinals are much better than past three years.

I'm not sure if you are saying that in a tone to knock Floyd and Roberts or not so I'll reply by saying this... Floyd is a stud and will eventually become a boarder-line elite WR. He has tons of raw skills and is only getting better. Roberts is a hell of a 3rd WR as well. It could be debated that this WR core is better than the WR's that Warner had. Breaston was just a product of the system at the time and Floyd has so much upside it's crazy.

If you weren't saying that to knock them then just ignore that. :yahoo:

Not to mention Floyd had 166 receiving yards on the last game of the season @ San Fran and put up decent numbers for a rookie WR entering a HORRIBLE QB situation. I think he's going to have a monster year as long as Palmer stays healthy.

I DEFINITELY wasn't knocking Kurt Warner... but... I was knocking Floyd and Roberts a bit IN COMPARISON to Boldin and Breaston.

I know Roberts is young and hasn't played a season with a quality quarterback... but... Breaston had a 15 yard per catch average with Anderson/Skelton/Hall and similar post-Warner total yards.

Floyd IS NOT Boldin's level.... but.... this season.... Fitzgerald/Floyd will be a TOP 10 combo (I want say TOP 7).

Warner's O-Line is much better than the 2013 Cards O-Line.

That's all.

Gotcha. I can definitely agree with those assessments... if only we had an O-Line. Ugh. Cooper's injury really, really hurts us.

Yeah... it's a bummer.

Palmer has no luck.

Those receivers in Oakland are a joke.
DHB is a lazy bust and Denarius Moore is regressing.

Andre Roberts is a stud. He makes incredible catches regularly and pays for quite a few of them. Always gets right back up and ready to do it again. He's one of the more under-appreciated guys in the NFL.

Agree 100%... can't wait to see the numbers that he'll put up with a real QB.

Steve Breaston was really not much better than Andre Roberts is now.

Steve Breaston was a product of KURT WARNER, not vice versa.

I think that if Andre Roberts was the 3rd Receiver in those days, he would have probably had better numbers than Breaston.

You all have seen Roberts develop more than I have since I am living in Cincinnati (with family in Phoenix)... but... both Breaston and Roberts played with those terrible quarterbacks that is why I posted:

I will believe Breaston is better (... but he wasn't Anquan Boldin) UNTIL I see some improvement from Roberts (which will happen w/ Palmer).

Anyway... the Cards are improving.

Warner never had a good oline. He wanted teams to blitz so he could exploit the secondary, Warner was a mastermind and knew where to go with the football before the ball was snapped.

Looking at numbers on a piece of paper really isn't fair...

Sure, Roberts and Breaston both played in 2010.. and Breaston had better numbers... but...

Breaston was in his 4th season with the Cardinals, and was the #2 receiver (Anquan was already gone)

Roberts was a ROOKIE and still had to play his way onto the field at that point.

When Steve Breaston was a rookie... he caught 8 balls for 90 yards, and that was with Kurt Warner playing at a high level.
