Interesting article on run blocking OL's ... we're the 5th worst (in regards to how much room the RB has before he gets hit) ... yet Doug has stuck to the run despite it not being a good run blocking unit. Dallas amazingly has been inept as they grade out the worst (huge change from last year). Jags OL grades out as the best so far.

I never knew why they have been reluctant to make Wiz the starter until now. Wiz also prefers playing Center, but is good at LG. We have good depth across the O-line, but every draft, we should always look to add another one for continuity - keeping a strong O-line, as well as the D-line. No matter what changes in the league, most games are still won in the trenches.

Yup. I want to see them control the football. Just based on the TOP for both teams, this could potentially be a low scoring affair.

Don't like the Eagles' chances here.

On the plus side, Carolina doesn't run the ball well. On the minus side, Cam spreads the ball all over the place (4 receivers with over 200 yards), so it looks like they have guys that can exploit mismatches around the back seven.

Don't know what to make of Carolina's run D. Rated really high, but the only team that runs the ball even remotely well that they beat is Buffalo. Everyone else they beat is bottom half of the league in rushing. And Buffalo could have won that game if they had a semblance of a passing game. Hoping that Schwartz looks to that game for inspiration, as Newton took six sacks.

I still don't think they'll win.

The have some large DTs. Not the strength of Kelce and Wiz in the middle.

Agreed on depth and continuity on the lines. No matter how much the game changes....if your lines can hold up well you always stand a chance.

That's why I don't mind high picks spent on the lines...as long as it's not on old volunteer firefighters from Canada.

Wow do I miss Lane Johnson. Carolina is going to attack from the right side all night. I hope Doug will make the adjustments to protect Carson. Other than that, I love the playcalling so far.

once you cross the 50, you need to limit the risk a bit more and not throw away points. it burned them big time on the first drive. i was hoping to see a delayed run or something on that last play, but at least he didn't get sacked and they still got the field goal.
