You need to throw your best pitcher in that situation. Hold the 9th down and win it in the bottom of the 9th. With it being tied and into the 9th there is no save coming. It drives me crazy when managers allow their best relief pitchers to sit in the bullpen while a more inferior pitcher gives up a lead.

But the way the game has been going on both sides, not likely to win in the bottom of the ninth, so now do we use another pitcher in the 10th, or wear down Melancon even more, making it pretty much a given he won't be seen in the 2nd game. I say use one our middle relievers, as the shark tank doesn't have as much of a drop off in skill level as a normal bullpen. I see your point, but we have more than just a couple from the bp who can get the job done.
