It's kinda funny because I know Caps fans didn't like the play of Wideman defensively before he left as a free agent to sign with Calgary, but I think he's been the best Flames defenseman this season (very good in his own end as well as offensively this season).

Bill mccreary on team1040 speaking out of turn and saying refs missed the penalty shot call when karl alzner shot his glove at sedin during game last night (he was game surervisor last night) and he noted the miss in his post game report

Said refs were briefed on yhis recently in a league memo
