I figured the Caps would be up for this one. They had a recent history of playing well in Pittsburgh for whatever reason. Nice to see the Pens continue this workmanlike effort for a couple wins in a row, now.

At the beginning of this streak it was mostly just out scoring the opponent. Now, they're choking the life out of them. That's what it will take in May and June.

Absolutely. The high-scoring games, the comeback games, those are fun for stats, and good to know that you can do that, if need arises. But these recent games bode much better for the second season.

TBH I don't want to see him traded. If we can flip Kennedy, a prospect other than Morrow and a pick for Iginla, I'd rather go that route.

Kennedy has also upped his trade value recently.

I agree with you on that. Despres has an inexpensive EL contract that will do wonders in the next couple with the decisions that await Shero and the front office.

I'm fucking sick of being a Caps' fan. It's so fucking brutal.

We've acheived the exact same thing the Panthers have and taken twice as long to do it. The NHL records we hold almost all related to failure. The only time Jagr sucked in the NHL was as a Capital. We have lost more 3-1 playoff leads than any team in the NHL. We've done dick. Nothing. We are shit.

It's so fucking unfair. Fuck me.

You'll be back. I myself was here in this thread the entire time but just didn't feel the need to post, and it wasn't about gloating. It was about appreciating a great hockey moment (killing off a double minor and then taking over). But, ok.

I do take these kind of posts somewhat personally, being one of the patriarchs of the migration to this board, but do what ya gotta do. We'll still be here when you return.

Yeah if Kennedy can be swung for any deal that is fine but Despres is too cheap right now and will be an RFA when Letang's contract is up. He will be needed on the cheap since there will be plenty of open spots on the blue line after next year.

Yeah I never really trashed talked ever and truly didn't start posting much until I came here because it was a better group of people.
