Understandable, but I've lost contacts in fights before and never asked to quit. Especially in a hockey fight in which you have a hold on the guy and still know which direction to keep throwing. You just double your output.

I can see that, I didn't know I had a serious issue with my until later.
just saying'.... I can see how a guy can be "oh shit, my eye" and call it a day.

they weren't saying that it's likely, but it is in the rule book for this game specifically - if they can't continue due to rain, the game is considered official if 2 periods have been played.

Both these teams will be in the playoffs, so it's not that big of a deal, however, if my team or any team battling for the playoffs was trailing by one goal going into the 3rd period and the game was considered official, I'd be miffed.
