It happens too quickly and the puck gets lost for me against all the dark clothing in the crowd. Still, usually players are the first to notice those things and not a single Canuck makes a stink about it. It's probably a high stick but in terms of non-calls I saw last night, hardly the most egregious and like I said Vancouver had their chance to clear afterwards but didn't.

if the plays blown dead ... the botched clearance doesnt matter and there is no goal

Gotta roll those 4 lines jstew - Deryk Engelland had 4 more minutes of ice time than Daniel Sedin last night.

we'll see if it works in the end and the canucks are fresher (i doubt it)

maybe the canucks should play 4 d too (the 4th d being a called up Frank Corrado)

i dont need to know these things at this point *covers ears* BLAH BLAH BLAH

Yes, Sam Bennett was the Canucks target. They believed he would be a better, in the long run, than the other Sam.

Here’s what Bennett told the Kuze about that, looking back, today:

“I definitely knew they (Canucks) had some interest and I talked to them quite a bit at the draft.”

I have to say that almost nothing makes me feel as warm and fuzzy as a dead silent Rogers Arena....

I know I'm repeating myself, but thanks again Oilers for taking Draisaitl...

It was The Stanchion's evil twin (snce it was at the other end of Rogers Arena).

i believe we got a stanchion payback that went in the sharks favour 2 playoffs ago

i guess we'll get the "missed call allowing goal" payback later this series if this is how things work

So were they going to trade up? Or were they hoping he'd drop down to 6th? That sounds very wishful.

they were going to trade up ... sounded like on the radio they had something in the works to go to 1st and then they would use the first pick to get Bennett

they would have been pilloried though because well ... canucks! ... "guy cant do a chin up and the canucks took him" ... yada yada yada

A lot of weaknesses on this Canuck team They will be lucky to make it out of the first round. Once again the Sedin's have not shown up and have not produced.

uneven would be a good way to describe it ... ppg right now in the playoffs ... not sure if hes an A level talent ... scored some glorious play of the year type goals but i wonder about the work ethic ... I dont think its Bo Horvat level work ethic so that worries me

this is stupid if not uninformed ... one game

fact is they are not going up against grinding centres and big bodies in this playoff series like they have in the past playoffs

they need more ice time

Hiller was very good last night (early in the 3rd period, he made two or three glorious saves to keep the Flames within a goal).

Hitmen won in OT last night to take a 3-1 series lead over Willie D's former team :(

he made game savers in the 3rd but imo I didnt think he looked too comfortable in the first 2 periods

and i saw you posted early last night that the game was good dash but i didnt think the first 2 periods were great hockey ... maybe because i switched over from the preds / hawks game :noidea:

the playoff tension saved it early imo

I think that's just his style, bAuldy was on with Sekeres and Price yesterday and he was trying to find the right words to describe Hiller's goaltending (spends lots of time on his knees, looks awkward at times).
