This can't be the same Raffi Torres who scored 0 goals in 19 games with the Sabres, can it?

he was sniffing 20 with CBJ before the trade.
didn't like the hotwings, I guess.
He's only been averaging 13-14 min with Van, too.

ooooh..... crushes Cogliano. nice.

w00t!!! for regulation.
(and hopefully lesson learned)

It was only a matter of time...Flames get another chance to strut their stuff on TSN tomorrow night (hopefully, it doesn't get too ugly)

Guess I shouldn't have went to bed so early...

Edmonton play their way back in it, or did Vancouver let em off the hook?

both. Luongo got this win with about 4 or 5 huge saves of a PP when it was 3-3 and the Oil were surging. they really came hard and the canucks got caught napping. you cant nap against that team they are too fast and too young to do that. they are really fun to watch

This can't be the same Raffi Torres who scored 0 goals in 19 games with the Sabres, can it?

this attitude bodes well

The first thing Raffi Torres wanted to say after the horde of reporters entered the Canucks dressing room to ask him about his goalscoring outburst was that he's going to forget about it as soon as possible.

This is the new Raffi – not the one who thinks he's a sniper when he scores a goal or two. This 2.0 version of Raffi Torres has learned that you can't forget what brought you success.

“The sooner I can forget about this and just worry about Colorado, the better,” said Torres, the one-time Oiler, who sunk his old teammates with a killer goal that not only snapped a 3-3 in the third period to give the Canucks a 4-3 win but also completed his first NHL hat-trick.

“That's my problem. When I'm on that high I just think I can go out and it will happen out there. You kind of forget you have to go out and to the work to make it happen. I'll soak it up and enjoy it tonight, but tomorrow I'll start worrying about Colorado.”

Damn, I was hoping the answer would have been "Bobby Lou pooped the bed...":D

Kipper and Roberto. We get 2 of my favorite goalies to play against this week.

At least 'Bulin is sandwiched in there on Friday. His drunk ass is past the point of being able to scare me.:)

first one was a nasty giveaway behind the net + surprise wraparound.
second was a loose puck in the crease that he should have covered.
third was a one time laser beam from inside the face-off dot. no chance.

that 2 goals in 3 shots stat to start the 3rd scared me a bit, but for the most part, he played well.

and now, you have to watch out for the Raffi-train.

i continue to wonder why Desbiens is on this team but my buddy feels that he has some good hands and could be a lesser version of Burrows. I dont see it. Glass has got to go. we need an entire new 4th line. Id take Bolduc over these guys and thats sad to me.

Was that the best game that Bieksa has played this year? The off-season whipping boy and trade bait is stepping up with some key defensemen out of the lineup.

Desbiens hit a post last night no? I want to see what Bolduc and Desbiens can do together seeing as they played 4 years of junior together

glass is so slow and inconsequential and I give Schaefer a temporary pass for not being up to speed because hes been out of hockey for 2 years ... a couple more games and they need to start making a decision with these 2 imo

that to me was the best game he has played in 2 years (not counting 1 game in the playoffs last year)

he will now revert to being arrogant and thinking he is the next lidstrom....

he will be be -4 on Thursday

if you ask me, 3 lucky assists

first Torres goal was all Malhotra having the composure and smarts to purposely shoot a puck wide of teh net to get a bounce back and Torres great finish

second Torres goal Bieksa amazingly gets a slow shot through legs (first of the year?) and Torres does well to tip it in

third Torres goal ... Torres does a nice swoop and Khabibulin re-enacts the night he was stoppped for DUI
