I think so. worst announcing combo in the league. Atleast Doc was able to collar Chico's rants. Cangi doesn't have the presence to keep Chico in check.

I expected him to take over Docs position once I heard Emrick is leaving. I am not pissed or anything like that. The announcer is the least of my worries.

Yeah he is the obvious choice to take over. The guy has put his time in...I do wonder though if they offered the Job to radio mat....then make cangi the radio voivce? Imo its a bad move too many shaaaaat scaaaaar but o well



As for chico I think he is solid I know enough about hockey where I don't need a color guy to clue me in...he also doesn't take himself seriously which is rare he is what dano will be in 10 years. Both perfect for thr job

You beat me to it. Steigerwald and Errey are BY FAR the worst in the league. I live just outside of Pittsburgh and am stuck with those 2 idiot when Pens play Devils because my MSG feed gets blocked on center ice. They are absolutely terrible. Cangi looks like doc next to these idiots.

I am not looking forward to listening to him, but the fact is, no one really cares who the announcers are. There have been lots of studies pointing to the fact that the fans don't care who does the games because they will watch the team no matter who is in the booth.
