The quality of play of each team's stars in the tourney so far you can predict:

Sweeden - Gold
Canada - Silver
Finland - Bronze

Fuck Dan Bylsma for having that bum Brooks Orpik in the lineup - it was going to cost them at an important time in this tournament

I counted at least three times that Kessel and other forwards had to cover him defensively because he couldn't keep up.

You know who COULD keep up?

Jack Motherfuckin Johnson, that's who.

Nice scene of Quick and Price congratulating one another at centre ice - Both guys played tremendous tonight, Quick had no chance on that Benn goal, nobody on the planet stops that one.

The newspapers in the USA should have the frontpages with every Team USA forward and their salaries, to embarrass them and show how awful they came up in this game - Patrick Kane was horrible in the entire tournament - did nothing when this team was scoring a million goals and when they needed him he came up absolutely small

Fuck Dan Bylsma for having that bum Brooks Orpik in the lineup - it was going to cost them at an important time in this tournament

I hate that Canada lolly gagged their way into this tournament by barely beating scrubs and then Team USA decided to not show up when it mattered most

I thought Kane played his best game of the tournament today. His line generated more than any other, I thought. They just couldn't finish it.

Parise had shoot-into-the-chest syndrome today, though, so that didn't help.

The only mistake Bylsma made, in my opinion, was not shuffling lines a bit around the start of the third. But I also can't fully blame him for sticking with lines which were so productive throughout the tournament.

USA played well today, Quick was spectacular, but they just couldn't get second chances, and Canada did a great job controlling the puck in the offensive end.

Congrats Canada, you played the better game

So strong defensively, we had no response.

Quick let in one too many
As the goalie for the Kings he knew what he needed to do

And Orpik played a strong game. He played like he deserved to be in there.

1) It was too late for Patrick Kane - he was horrible in this tournament - he should have shown up way prior in this tournament

2) Brooks Orpik made a horrible play on that one goal and in a game where both teams are close, it doesn't matter how he played the rest of the game

Ryan Callahan was the only one who had a chance to change that play...

A game of inches and tiny mistakes.

I actually thought Callahan made the mistake on that goal, the same one he made on a goal earlier in the tournament, chasing the puck across the ice. Toews was his mark on that play, but he came across on the defenseman on the other side, leaving him open.

Of course, Callahan also blocked shots from each Weber and Doughty on the same shift, so I forgive him.

Congrats, Canada. That was one hell of a game. I am sitting here feeling like I should be really pissed off and upset, but I just can't be. That was one of the best games I've ever seen from a pure hockey standpoint. While the result was not quite what I wanted, both teams played their hearts out and I can't ask for much more than that. Good luck in the gold medal game.

Sorry but that was Brooks Orpik's mistake, the defenseman has to do a way better job there

Yeah, 56-15 shot edge vs Lativa is "lolly gagging"
