I have to disagree with this being a good game for Canada. Being tested by Norway is not the way to start out the Olympics if you're the favorites for the gold. Not saying they should be ashamed of themselves, but this won't cut it against higher level competition.

Exactly why this was a good thing. They know that effort isn't good enough and will make them get stronger, much like that game with the Swiss in 2010 did. Much rather be tested early than have a game with a team that doesn't show up like the US did.
There are also dingleberries criticizing Price for bumbling the play behind the net on Norway's goal. He was very solid .
I can only imagine the explosion of fucktards if luongo gave up that goal
Mike smith backs up tomorrow
He was solid ... Saved the a couple times in ghe second ... But make no mistake he fucked up on that goal

TSNRyanRishaug: Babcock “what I liked about this game… it was hard”
Couldn't care less about the prelim games. Feeling out process as far as I'm concerned. In salt lake city and Vancouver, Canada had a pretty underwhelming round robin but for better as things progressed. Hoping for the same here. I'm not convinced it would be a bad thing to come 2nd in the pool and play an extra game, either.
Sid sounded like he wanted to punch out some reporters post game lol ... theres got to be less pressure on them than Vancouver

I think it's somewhat important to have a good record in the preliminary. Gives you some additional rest and an easier pathway to the medal round. I think the only good thing about struggling in the preliminaries is that it gives you an opportunity to evaluate your weaknesses and make adjustments.
thank god canada had all that additional rest in 2010
