Fisher actually went a bit further than that and said that Davis is the team’s starter moving forward.

We need our defense to be the defense that it is suppose to be, and good QB play and we can win!

I hate to remind you guys...

The youngest roster in the NFL & A new Greg Williams defensive scheme.

Trust me guys, it's gonna take awhile but it's gonna get there!

eh....we been crawling for years....its time to start walking. We can't keep getting younger and more worse, that combination doesn't work.

Well we did!

I don't know about the 'and more worse' part. We're about he same place as last year this time.

Third year in a row as a matter of fact as the youngest team in the NFL.

Like or not...

Or maybe you just disagree with the philosophy?

The way I saw it, we had very few veterans when Fisher & Snead took over.

The prudent way to go, (Cash wise for sure) and one that if worked well, will pay the most dividends in the long run is the path we are on....

Well Fisher is getting some sense after all. Good move naming Davis the starter. That is a Dick Vermeil move and all this kid needs is Fisher's vote and I am fairly certain he is going to win us some games. We shall see.

From the.... 'For What it's Worth Department -

-- St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher is 91-62-1 ATS as an underdog. He has faced Philadelphia only once in his NFL career, defeating the Eagles 31-13 as a 13-point underdog in 2006.

Smart move and also a prudent move.
No matter what happens this season Hill will not be the Rams starting QB of the future so it's wise to see what Davis can do. Hopefully he kicks butt and becomes the QB the Rams have been searching for.

I know........ it's bad...:L I'm not going to say it can't get any worse because I've been saying that for 8 years and it keeps getting worse. I'm just looking for that glimmer of hope.

GO DAVIS!

Davis has already demonstrated his hutzpah, fire, determination, grit, and competitiveness that we will not be used to because we got just the opposite from you know who. Davis is going to make some mistakes but the fact that he consistently sustained drives in both games he played clearly demonstrates that this is the type of QB we want. Vita is right. This team may finally get it together and put up some nice numbers and win some games. I have stated it before. The season isn't over just yet. I had my doubts recently but we are not done untile the losses starting stacking up-again.

Agreed Retro. What Davis lacks in experience he will make up in leadership. And I'll bet he doesn't wet himself even once during the game!

Davis has already proven he doesn't rattle too easily as he demonstrated making good plays under duress marching the team down the field, Boss. I think the O-line is buying into the notion that this kid can flat-out play because in the Dallas game they protected him quite well. Davis will get better at eliminating not seeing players and throwing picks and I think as he continues to work with the receivers, the passing game will continue to improve especially with Britt, Quick, Pettis, and Bailey. If Jared Cook doesn't get on board, I say cut his ass and let him go flip burgers for a living. Maybe he'll see how stupid he is for playing like a damn idiot.

These are the hopes aren't they?

Since we're at it, lets say Davis, as the game time starter, will get better with his win / loss stat in the next 8 games!!
(Currently 1-1)

Well since 4-4 = 1-1 'better' is 5-3.

That puts us in with 11 at 6-5!!

I'll take it.

Just for chuckles....

Pick the 5 games we win.

Here's mine...

 • W - @ PHI
 • W - vs SF
 • L - vs SEA
 • W @ KC
 • L - @ SF
 • W - @ ARI
 • L - @ DEN

I have a weird feeling about this game. Philly scored twice on a blocked punt TD and I believe the other one was a defensive TD against the rainbow whiners.

And San Fran's isn't fully healthy and stocked yet.

If we can stay in the game early, I think we can win this game.

And Davis is going to have a shitty game sooner or later. Don't expect too much, the guy is just starting to plAy and hasn't even played a conference game yet.

What has been stated by Sj76 and Vita I agree with. WE have a chance at this one but we are going to have to score in the first period and keep the foot on the gas the whole game. This team has yet to play a full game. This game could be that game.

We gotta stop the run and NOT commit STUPID penalties! 100 + ypg in penalties is killing us :bawling:

:agree:

I do think Fisher needs to get off the rules committee.

He's too close to it and can't see the forest for the trees.
