In my personal opinion, as long as Bo is here we will never ever see Nebraska score a bunch of points.........I just don't think he's interested in that at all. He's interested in playing conservative on offense, and stingy on defense.

I mentioned this the other day.

Although I've never been impressed with Watson's offenses since his days at Colorado. I've made threads showing his #s and they're really not impressive considering all the verbal accolades he gets..

I know a lot of people have said "why aren't we playing on offense like we did against Washington?"

In reality we are scheming exactly the same way.........what people don't realize is that we busted huge plays in that game on the ground. We weren't in a hurry to score, but when you have a couple 80 yard TD runs it's going to make the scoreboard go up a bit quicker.

So far in Big 12 play teams have played decent defensively against us, because let's face it........it's really not THAT difficult to defend.

LOL.......like the ones where Martinez runs for 80 yards......or Helu runs for 80 yards.

We are running those same exact plays that we ran earlier in the season....

Technically Nebraska had a "conservative" offense under Tom Osborne. Any offense the runs the ball way more than they pass the ball is considered a conservative offense.

I'm guessing if Bo wanted to really start going for explosive plays he would say something to Watson. You just can't expect explosive plays when you're running the ball 90% of the time.

In a somewhat related story, look what happened to Oregon's "explosive " offense this past weekend when they played the 12th ranked defense in the country.
